He is a versatile, primarily self-taught painter whose work always incorporates vibrant use of color, light and shadow as well as an excellent eye for composition.

We are pleased to announce that Billy has been accepted into The Carmel Plein Air Festival this coming May, 2009. The competition runs the 14th through the 17th in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California and is a juried competition. Billy will be competing against 59 other talented artists with the submission of two paintings painted en plein air in the Carmel area over the first two days of the festival. Stop out to watch the painters in action and give your support to the artists in the art auction to follow the judging.
